Unlike traditional massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), where quests and plots are usually pre-written, a world powered by NI2S creates its own storyline on the fly, offering each player a unique experience, comparable to a tabletop RPG session improvised in real time. Origins and Evolution: From Xeralabs to ARW

NI2S didn’t appear overnight. Its roots date back to 2016, when the original idea was introduced by Xeralabs as a new approach to MMORPGs. The project was born from the vision of closing the gap between digital RPGs and traditional pen-and-paper role-playing games. For years, the concept remained in a research and partial development phase, refining its theoretical foundations and waiting for the right time to blossom. Alternate Reality Worlds (ARW) is the team that has taken the torch to bring NI2S to life. Since 2024, ARW has revived the project with renewed enthusiasm.
